Having reached Morgins we took the chair which connects skiers to Champoussin. We ski’d the runs through the trees above Morgins for a bit – the pistes were deserted and the snow was in remarkably good condition. Then we desended down the other side, away from Morgins to a favourite spot. Although, artificial unlike a week or so before we caught the run at just the right time and the top snow was beautifully soft. Some very long and wide carving turns were put in by all at good speed. We had to stop for a Swiss ‘Chocolate Chaud’ at the beautiful mountain restaurant opposite the ‘Dents du Midi’.
