October 2, 2017

Autumn is now in full swing with everything turning a beautiful yellow, brown and golden colour!! Yep, another Winter and season at Chalet Margaritka will soon be upon us!! So here’s a few memories of our Summer – Apart from being in Morzine, we also spent a lot of time in Spain (Catalunya, on the Costa Garraf) and the South of France:

Winter has arrived early!!!

November 11, 2016

Hope this bodes well for the season ahead. This week winter arrived with a vengeance in the Alps!!! It’s now been snowing off and on for 6 days even down to the village level. As I look out of our chalet’s window all I can see is a complete white out. And, lots of snow has fallen at altitude, upto and including Avoriaz.

Here are some pics (some from the chalet and some in Avoriaz) showing how conditions are a changing:

Hard to believe Winter will be here soon!!

September 29, 2016

Just a reminder that with Winter around the corner we are taking bookings for our highly personalised, ski weekends this forthcoming season (Special Offers for full weeks in February) and right now prices are still at last year’s level !!!!!!!

Summer is over but the beautiful weather in the Alps continues with temperatures still reaching 20 degrees during the day. In August we had many guests from the owner of Morzine Source Magazine’s wedding, stay at the chalet. We broke our own rules and accommodated more people than we usually do – it was huge fun!

Just in case you are reminiscing about Summer a touch, below are a few pictures taken by our guests from the chalet over the last few months and a couple or so from our travels:

The first snows of Winter fall – What a contrast in less than a week!!

October 24, 2014

The first snow fell this week, making for some great views from the chalet. Nantaux and Ressachaux always look spectacular with their first white hats on!

It was all a bit of a nice, shock really. The previous Sunday we’d all been for a long walk in the beautiful, Autumn Sunshine. Rita picked many mushrooms to make one of her lovely soups. And, apparently, it was the hottest October day on record in Morzine on the Sunday. We’d also really enjoyed watching Alex play football the previous day, sitting in the warm, sun in our shirt sleeves.

So hard to believe that a couple of days later or so the temperature dropped by more than 20 degrees and the snow fell. Even in the village for a while!

Enjoy the before and after views!!
