The first snows of Winter fall – What a contrast in less than a week!!
October 24, 2014The first snow fell this week, making for some great views from the chalet. Nantaux and Ressachaux always look spectacular with their first white hats on!
It was all a bit of a nice, shock really. The previous Sunday we’d all been for a long walk in the beautiful, Autumn Sunshine. Rita picked many mushrooms to make one of her lovely soups. And, apparently, it was the hottest October day on record in Morzine on the Sunday. We’d also really enjoyed watching Alex play football the previous day, sitting in the warm, sun in our shirt sleeves.
So hard to believe that a couple of days later or so the temperature dropped by more than 20 degrees and the snow fell. Even in the village for a while!
Enjoy the before and after views!!
- View from the Rosa bowl in Les Gets across to Mont Chery in the beautiful Autumn sunshine. It must have been mid 20s in the village.
- Watching the Tsar (Alex) playing football for Morzine Under 13’s. It was really hot in the sun, look at that deep azure sky.
- View from the chalet – Nantaux with its first white hat of the Winter on.
- View from the chalet – Ressachaux and Hauts Fort covered in some of the fluffy, white stuff!
