A beautiful trip along the Moskva River and other great sites for Summer » Christ the Saviour’s Cathedral
Christ the Saviour’s Cathedral, near the Kremlin
Would you believe the Soviets did away with this beautiful home of the Russian Orthodox Church. Replacing it with a massive open air heated, swimming pool for the people. Apparently, during winter you could see the steam streaming off the massive expanse of (open air) water! The Cathedral was rebuilt during the early 90’s after the collapse of communism.
